I was really surprised when a friend I’ve known for decades, who has never shown any interest in the ghost work that I do, asked me to do my ‘feeling’ thing to check on a friend who’d recently died.

I went of course.

I’ve done this thing before, I arrived early, sensed the building, got the usual buzz from lots of people visiting for an hour or so, emoting care and loving memories of their departed ones, those energies staying, adding up. It takes a little while to process them, they’ll be replaced, but it helps to reduce the background energies to better sense the particular one at this time.

I don’t want to draw attention, and I don’t know the family, usually, and it might creep one or more if I tell them what I’m doing.

I called down Heaven’s Light, it helps me to ‘see’ better, and I saw this bundle of energy, having fun, next to the close family line. She sensed me looking, recognized me, I’d met her some months back, knew me via my friend, and checked that the friend would be visiting, then went back to family and friends.

She’d had a tough time her last year, and it showed in her energy field, not fully light, just … damaged. She’d get some TLC when she got up to Heaven before … socializing with all the spirits up there. She’s not a ghost, it’s normal for a spirit to spend some time checking in on family and friends, saying goodbyes, culminating in the funeral home get-together. I ‘looked’ outside and saw a lot of her friends, now higher spirits, waiting to gather her up and take her up to Heaven. Meanwhile, party-time.

My friend arrived, wanted to know what the situation was, I left it up to her to tell family as much as she felt appropriate, and I left, more to do, a busy day ahead of me.
